On June 29, the Eatonton-Putnam and Greene County Chambers of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Ace Hardware Lake Oconee’s new location at 1022 Greensboro Road, Eatonton. The chambers welcomed 30 to 40 people to the ceremony. Owners Preston and Holly Shaifer said they have been extremely grateful for the incredible response from the community since the move.
“We want to be more than just a local hardware store, we want to be the place that you can find everything from hardware, gifts, outdoor living products, housewares and anything else you may need to make life at the lake more enjoyable,” they said. “Our store offers the friendliest staff that is willing to go the extra mile no matter what you are looking for. We feel very fortunate to call the Lake Country home and to play a small part in making this community better.”
